Eating with My Eyes - Ellie’s Georgia Shrimp and Grits

Monday May 18, 2009
Photo Name Some food photos you see on the Internet look so delicious, it seems as though you can literally taste the recipe just by staring at it. When I saw this shot of Ellie’s Georgia Shrimp and Grits I had that exact experience.

I closed my eyes and imagined the comforting pleasure this recipe would soon bring. I could taste those spicy shrimp, the soft grits, and the rich, creamy sauce. I think I even made that Homer Simpson drooling sound.

Shrimp and grits is an iconic southern recipe, and while it’s packed with flavor, its preparation is quite simple. I want to thank Ellie from Vintage Victuals for sharing this southern beauty with us, and I hope you give it a try. Enjoy!

Me too. I’m drooling right now. Thanks for the visual!
