Beautiful Garlic Bread Without Butter
Friday July 10, 2009
I just posted a recipe for what I'm calling aioli garlic bread. As many of you may know, an aioli is a garlic mayonnaise used as a spread or dipping sauce for all kinds of things.
I had some of this garlic mayo leftover from a roast chicken dinner and decided to try it, instead of butter, to make garlic bread. I really enjoyed the results.
The crisp bread had a full, but not too strong garlic flavor, and the egg yolk in the aioli gave it a beautiful buttery color and subtle richness. So, take a little break from butter and give this delicious garlic bread variation a try.
