  • 1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup dark molasses
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup boiling water

  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps to Make It

  2. Sift together the flour and baking soda into a mixing bowl. Add the ginger, cinnamon, salt, sugar, egg, and molasses. Mix with a spatula until the mixture is combined and resembles wet sand.
