Spicy Roasted Yams with a Lime and Chipotle Glaze

What You'll Need

For this delicious recipe you'll need:
3 large yams or sweet potatoes
1 large lime, juiced (about 1/4 cup)
1 tbl Chipotle chili powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp olive oil
a mixing bowl
13 x 9 baking sheet, lined with a silicon baking mat (optional)

By the way, there are no true yams sold in American grocery stores. In the produce department you'll see both sweet potatoes and yams being sold, but the fact is they are all actually sweet potatoes. Some varieties of sweet potatoes, like Beauregard and Garnet, are often marketed as “yams.” True yams are native to Africa and Asia, and are rarely, if ever, seen in our markets.
