The addition of a little cream cheese to the traditional deviled eggs filling gives this recipe an interesting twist. Deviled eggs are a kitschy classic, and while people may poke fun, they're an American party food icon for a good reason!

Makes 16 Deviled Eggs

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 8 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • pinch of cayenne
  • salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • paprika as needed

Preparation:

Cut the eggs in half lengthwise and pop out the yolks into a mixing bowl. Mash them with the vinegar, mayonnaise, cream cheese, mustard, cayenne, salt, and pepper until smooth. If the mixture seems too dry, add a touch more mayo.

Using a spoon, or pastry bag with a star tip, generously fill the holes in the egg white halves with the egg yolk mixture. Sprinkle tops with paprika. Chill well before serving.
