Ingredients:
- 12 canned artichoke hearts (preferably with stems attached), drained, cut in half
- salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup finely grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- lemon as needed
Preparation:
Preheat the broiler on the highest setting.
Place the artichoke hearts, cut side up, on a foiled, lightly-oiled, baking sheet. Season with salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste. Sprinkle over the breadcrumbs, then the cheese, then drizzle with olive oil.
Broil about 6 inches under the heat for 7-8 minutes, or until well browned. Serve warm or room temperature.
