Old Fashion Hot Fudge Sauce

This hot fudge recipe, from Kelly Carámbula's blog, Eat Make Read, is originally from the Old Occidental Hotel in Muskegon, Michigan. With this easy dessert sauce recipe, you'll be enjoying you’re very own hot fudge sundae in just minutes.

Makes 3 1/2 Cups Old Fashion Hot Fudge Recipe

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 8 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Preparation:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. Over medium heat, combine milk, butter and vanilla until the butter has melted. Add dry ingredients to the milk mixture, constantly whisking. Boil, stirring constantly until thick and smooth, about 5 minutes. Cool and refrigerate unused portion.

Note: Can be reheated in a double-boiler, or microwave, as needed.
