Berry Fourth of July Flag Cake Recipe

Why make a regular cake recipe, when you can use some fresh strawberries and blueberries to create a beautiful and delicious Fourth of July flag cake? This cake is so pretty, you'll want to make even if it isn’t the Fourth of July!

Makes 12 Squares of Flag Cake

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

• 1 box lemon or white cake mix
• 1 16-oz can white frosting
• 1 cup fresh blueberries
• 1 pint fresh strawberries, quartered

Preparation:

Bake cake, according to package directions, in a rectangular baking dish. When cool, cover with white frosting. Use the blueberries to make a solid square in the upper-left corner (see photo), and then use the strawberries to make the "stripes."
