Guide Review - Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper Attachments CSB-77
Before I owned a hand blender, there were times when I would decide not to make a soup or homemade dressing, due to the hassle of cleaning the counter top blender. It hardly seemed worth the trouble, especially if I was just making a small batch of something. Not to mention the old "scalding hot soup flying out of the blender" trick!Since getting a hand blender, I no longer have those issues. There is nothing like sticking a stick blender into the simmering pot, and a few seconds later, having a perfectly pureed vegetable soup. I personally use the Cuisinart Smart Stick hand blender that I'm reviewing here, and I think it's a great product.
To me the most important things in a hand blender are; ease of cleaning, a quiet motor, enough power, and a simple snap-on/snap-off attachment. This model passes all those requirements easily. This model also includes a 16-oz. mixing/measuring beaker, which is perfect for doing a quick dressing, and a chopper attachment that serves as a mini food processor.
My only wish is that the chopper attachment base could be a bit larger, but that's a minor quibble. If you are looking for a sturdy, hand blender, this Cuisinart Smart Stick comes highly recommended.
