This cherry cabernet sauce recipe tastes like it requires a lot of time and finesse. But, this is actually one of the fastest, simplest wine sauce recipes there is. A cherry cabernet sauce is delicious on pork, turkey, duck, and all types of game.

Makes 8 Portions of Cherry Cabernet Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cherry preserves
  • 1 cup cabernet wine
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled, left whole
  • 4 springs thyme
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • salt to taste

Preparation:

Add all ingredients to a saucepan and over medium heat bring to a simmer. Simmer for five minutes. Turn off heat, and remove garlic clove and thyme springs. Transfer to a serving bowl, and serve warm, or room temperature. Sauce will thicken slighty as it cool.
